The "Twich of The Dead Nerve" gets member from "Infected Disarray", "Beef Conspiracy" and "Defeated Sanity" (Mr. Gruber at the drum), so it is a international cast. So if you think that the work's proportion is minimal and not-relevant I'll tell you something that makes this come-out worth it. "A new code of morality" is direct, intro taken by a movie, snaring smash-everything drums, guttual voices and violent riffing. Scream singing cuts the continuity in some rare point, that voids the album becomes monotonous, and the drum. That's a big point for this album, because Gruber is maybe the best drummer in the section "Slam Awards" and you can trust him with no doubt. The weak point in this work are the guitars: they are way too much an extention of the rhytmic section and they don't stand out, they just follow the drums. On the other hand, it is true that most of the cd is weak and not clear at all, and it's impossible to distinguish a song from the other without the cinematographic's cut. Artificial harmonic in the mid-time parts are well bilanced from a good rythmic, but Defeated Sanity's drummer makes the difference in this album. A monolithic symbol that shows us that a drum-machine will never beat a true drummer. Also, we have to the say that the scream singing reaches a good level that, for a brutal metal band, by these times, is a good achievement. I'm not going to say that Comatose's roster is loosing style, but sometimes follow a classic line takes not only to stability, but also at good results. This time they got a point. I Super gruppi nel Brutal si sprecano, sia perchè molte band sono studio projet sia perchè tipo a Los Angeles ci stanno 2/3 del roster della Comatose Music. I Twitch Of The Death Nerve prendono membri da Infected Disarray, Beef Conspiracy e DEFEATED SANITY (Mr Gruber alle pentole) quindi un cast internazionale. Se anche così la proporzione del lavoro vi sembrasse minimale e di poco conto è opportuno approfondire qualche aspetto che rende questa uscita quantomeno degna di nota. "A New Code Of Morality" si presenta in modo diretto e spicciolo, intro presa da un film e rullante secco trita-tutto, vocals gutturali e riffing serrato. A creare elementi di discontinuità ci sono gli scream, se pur rari, del cantante che donano quel minimo di varietà essenziale per non diventare monotoni, e la batteria. Elemento praticamente non commentabile dato che Gruber è forse il miglior batterista per la sezione "Slam Awards" e di lui ci si può fidare, anche ciecamente. Quello che forse manca è una sostanza vera sulle chitarre che troppo spesso sono estensione della sezione ritmica senza risaltare in particolare modo o dare un tono od un colore a passaggi spesso fini a se stessi nel senso che fare tante note quante ne fa il rullante, dopo un po' è leggermente futile. E' vero che molto del tempo del cd è spento e poco chiaro, distinguere una canzone dall'altra non è possibile, oggettivamente, se non per gli spezzoni cinematografici. L'abuso di certi clichè come i gli armonici artificiali nelle parti mid tempo è bilanciato fortunatamente da una prova ritmica di grande spessore, sarà futile ripetermi, ma la differenza in questo cd la fa il batterista dei Defeated Sanity con una prestazione come sempre da atleta centometrista. Simbolo monolitico che una drum machine non potrà mai sostituire un vero batterista nell'esecuzione dei brani. Se vogliamo dare anche come punto a favore lo screaming raggiungiamo una meritata sufficienza che per un gruppo brutal di questi tempi è un gran traguardo. Non nego che il roster di Comatose stia perdendo di fascino ma ogni tanto essere fedeli e duri nella linea porta non solo stabilità ma anche a risultati più che dignitosi. Questa volta hanno ragione loro.
