Is this the new Super Mario Bros Theme? No! It's the new Within The Ruins "Phenomena"

I'm not gonna lie. If you don't know “Invade” and “Creature” you just can't talk, shut up, go hide yourselves and don't express your opinion about this cd. I've followed them since 2009, “Creature” and “Invade” are the best cds I've ever listened to in my whole life. Masterpieces. “Orgasmcore”.
I was wrong about “Elite”, it's a shit, and I didn't want to admit it, at first it sounded poor, then it sounded good, and finally I decided that maybe it was really good but not as good as the previous works, but I was wrong. Actually, it was just shit.
I discovered “Phenomena”, I hoped not to find a production like the last cd. Well, it was almost like that. Guitars sounded like crap, the drumkit was a plastic one, and bass.. Wait, where's the bass? Any producer listening to this cd would've defined it “the antichrist”. Withing The Ruins are particular, maybe they can, and why not, also this is part of their being unique.
They gave us 4 cds in 5 years and they were all the same. Forgive me, but this is fucking annoying, until you get to Invade and you realize that they can afford one cd per year. Nowadays they can't. Guitars sound terrible, they divided the tracks into 2-seconds pieces, played and recorded tons of times in order to let the work be really precise. That's actually not a problem, the fact is that they're not guitars, they're synths, and they sound like SATAN itself. Even if we try to think that it's not a problem at all, we haven't got a cd that sounds 'metal', this is everything but metal. Maybe if this 'everything' sounded more “human”, I'd like it. All in all, they sound cool, they look cool, they ARE cool, their vocals are really interesting and the melodic parts that have been added really impressed me in such a positive way. Everything else didn't. Most of the ideas were already used in the past, random verses here and there in order to go from a “piripiri” to another one. Each time I listen to them I feel like each song was built around one single riff, built with bricks made of shit just to make it look cool. You're not getting me. With the ideas in this cd maybe they could've made “Feast or Famine”.
I got a beautiful headache because of the ridiculous number of listenings. When it finally passed, I went back to singing The Book of Books and I was happy again. [Translated by Lorenzo Giulietti]

Sarò schietto. Se non sapete a memoria "Invade" e "Creature" non avete diritto di parola, tacete, andate a nascondervi e non esprimetevi a riguardo di questo cd. Io li seguo dal 2009, "Creature" ed "Invade" sono trai cd che più ho ascoltato in assoluto nella mia vita. Opere d'arte. "Orgasmocore".
Ho sbagliato in modo macroscopico su Elite, è un cd del cazzo, e io non l'ho voluto ammettere, un ascolto mi faceva cagare, un'altro era carino, poi ho deciso che forse era veramente carino ma non bello come i precedenti, invece no. Faceva proprio merda da tutti i pori.
Arrivo su "Phenomena" sperando almeno di non trovare una produzione come quella del precedente cd. Poco ci manca. Chitarre di pongo, batteria di plastica, basso inesistente. Qualsiasi produttore serio sentendo questo cd troverebbe l'anticristo. I Within The Ruins sono particolari, magari possono permetterselo, e perchè no, anche questo contribuisce a renderli unici.

I nostri hanno fatto uscire 4 cd in 5 anni e tutti pressochè uguali, se permettete mi sarei anche rotto il cazzo, fino a che arrivi ad Invade ti rendi conto che se lo possono permettere quasi un cd all'anno. Oggi come oggi decisamente no. La metà delle partiture di chitarra sono remixate con quei suonini terribili, probabilmente avranno suonato di due secondi in due secondi le canzoni per renderle così millimetriche e perfette, ma non è una colpa, solo che non sembrano chitarre, ascoltando questo cd come il precedente si ha davanti tutto meno che un cd che suoni "metal". Provando anche a far finta che non sia un problema, queste chitarre che suonano come dei synth sono comunque S-A-T-A-N-A. Probabilmente se tutto avesse dei suoni umani quasi mi piacerebbe. Perchè d'altronde sono dei fighi, il loro stile è cool, vocalmente sono sempre molto interessanti e l'aggiunta di parti più melodiche mi ha impressionato in positivo. Tutto il resto però no, qualche idea riciclata, strofe un po' a caso tanto per passare da un "piri piri" ad un'altro "piri piri". C'è una sensazione fortissima ad ogni ascolto che mi dice che ogni canzone è stata costruita su un singolo riff ed attorno ci hanno messo tutta questa merda (di pongo e plastica) per far sembrare figo il tutto. Non mi incantate. Con le idee di questo cd forse ci veniva fuori "Feast or Famine".
