If "The Harvest Womb" wouldn't have a drum sound which is worse than "Waking the cadaver"'s one I could have liked this. I enjoyed "Nomadic" EP.
Fallujah are dicks, no doubts on that, they couldn't care less about what is Technical Death Metal and they tried to image how Cynic would have played if they would have released their first album in 2014. They are original and particulars. These 5 guys from the Bay Area are over the average, they have good taste in melodies and they know what to do without hitting vogue's music... but that's not enough.
They achieved their goal, but the band is all fucked up. "Carved from Stone" and "The Night Reveals" are big hits, 9 minutes in which they prove to be better that the 90% of the other bands. But they're lost. Too many instrumental parts, main guitar has the same effect for 42 minutes and guitars' sound is way too high, and if you try to listen them on your car and/or Mp3 player you could notice that the volume must be low if you wanna hear something.
There are 2 tracks and half which are actually great, bu the rest sounds like the same song in loop; even if the sound is particular and sofisticated, boredom is what this album achieve. So sofisticated and full of solos that it's impossible to not find filling a solution that if given in small doses would be perfect.
But Fallujah live in a constat abuse of something that is new but it is already old. So determinated to look "Technical-Chic" that is annoying.

"The Harvest Womb" non avesse i suoni di batteria più brutti dei Waking The Cadaver probabilmente mi sarebbe anche piaciuto. Sull'EP "Nomadic" ci ho fatto discrete dormite.
I Fallujah sono dei cazzoni, non c'è altro da dire riguardo questi tipi qua, se sono fregati di qualsiasi cosa fosse il Technical Death Metal ed hanno provato ad immaginare come suonerebbero i Cynic se avessero creato il loro primo cd del 2014. Sono personali, particolari ed originali. Doti che nessuno gli può togliere. I cinque della Bay Area hanno doti sicuramente sopra la media, un'idea di quello che fare senza stare a tamponare le mode in modo volgare ed un'ottimo gusto per le melodie..
Però tutto questo incredibilmente non è bastato.
La band nonostante sia riuscita ad inquadrare perfettamente il proprio obiettivo è perennemente allo sbando."Carved from Stone" e "The Night Reveals" sono due tracce colossali, 9 minuti in cui azzittano il 90% delle band di oggi. Però si perdono. Troppe parti strumentali, sempre lo stesso effetto sulla chitarra solista per 42 minuti, per non parlare del volume mostruosamente alto delle chitarre stesse, se avete provato a sentirle in macchina o sull'Ipod noterete come per ascoltare in modo decente tutto bisogna tenersi ad un volume assai basso.
A parte 2 tracce e mezzo tutto il resto sembra sempre la stessa identica canzone ripetuta in loop, nonostante un sound particolare ed originale la noia pervade sino nella profondità questo album. Così sofisticato e pieno di soli che è impossibile non trovare stucchevole una soluzione che se centellinata sarebbe succulentissima.
Invece i Fallujah vivono di un abuso continuo di qualcosa che si è nuovo ma è già praticamente vecchio. Così intenti nel loro voler sembrare "Technical-Chic" che da quasi fastidio.
Hanno voluto dimostrare di avere il cazzo più grande di tutti ma non sono durati 5 minuti.
