SKELETONWITCH ANNOUNCES SUMMER EUROPEAN TOUR, Band posts behind-the-scenes videos of recent Amon Amarth tour, animal shelter donations

Heavy metal crusaders SKELETONWITCH will continue to support what Pitchfork, along with several others, lauds as their “best album to date” (2013′s Billboard-charting “Serpents Unleashed”) on their upcoming European tour. In addition to appearing alongside extreme metal legends Suffocation and thrashers Havok, the band has announced appearances at several of the summers’ largest festivals including Summer Breeze, Brutal Assault and Party.San. A full list of dates can be found below.

SKELETONWITCH were most recently seen at mostly sold-out dates supporting Amon Amarth and Enslaved throughout the U.S. The band has posted an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at life on the road recapping this adventure, which you can view below:

“Serpents Unleashed” – which earned a spot in Decibel’s Top 40 Albums of 2013, where it was praised for “combining black metal, thrash (both crossover and Bay Area) and melodeath seamlessly” – is SKELETONWITCH‘s best-selling and most critically acclaimed release to date. The group choose to give back by releasing a limited-edition, hand-screened vinyl variant of the release, proceeds from which were donated to two local animal shelters in the band’s home state of Ohio (Athens County Humane Society & Columbus’ Pets Without Parents). Members of the band recently stopped by each shelter to present the donations and, of course, spend some time with the animals. Guitarist Scott Hedrick couldn’t help but make an addition to his family with one of the cats!
