If Erase The Insignificant was a modern CD and above the average for the time, the same can be said for Scourge Of the Formless Breed, updating what the brutal is going to, getting in line with the most radical chich new album of the genre.
"Anabasis Paralysis", is one of the most relevant and oldest composition from the CD that stay in the middle between present and future but contains a few riff extremely cool that makes the track unforgettable. "Awakening of the Seven Serpent" may be said as the most experimental track of the band with powerful remindings to Deeds Of Flesh blinking the eye to a Technical Death Metal closer to the modern Arkaik and The Zenith Passage.
Breed of The Rejected looks like the most reflective track and let the symptom of changing the songwriter shining through. Even if the drums has two way (blast and double bass drum carpet) the track succeed in trying to be extremely dynamic also in virtue of a kind of breakdown and a melodic solo very inspired.

cal Gorge si distaccano, dicono "no grazie", al Brutal Deeds Of Flesh-siano per abbracciare qualcosa di più ampio e variegato. Ora ci sono sprazzi di Immolation, Gorguts, Suffocation come al solito. I 4 ragazzi hanno dimostrato di poter fare ben più del classico cd Brutal Death Metal, cambiando le carte, senza stravolgere in modo significativo il significato della loro musica ma maturando verso estremi più ricercati e sofisticati. Paradossalmente questa scelta li rende estremamente più Easy Listening di una volta, controsenso di natura, ma tutti questi sofismi ed elaborazioni hanno permesso di sbrogliarsi di quel tritellume immane che rendeva i loro cd pugni nello stomaco.
Se Erase The Insignificant per il tempo era un cd moderno e sopra la media, lo stesso può essere detto di Scourge Of The Formless Breed, attualizzando quello che sta diventando il Brutal, mettendosi in linea con le uscite più radical chic del genere.Da sottolineare c'è "Anabasis Paralysis", una delle composizioni più antiche del cd che viaggia di mezzo tra il passato ed il presente ma inanella un paio di riff estremamente galvanizzanti che rendono la traccia memorabile. "Awakening of the Seven Serpent" potrebbe essere definita come la traccia più sperimentale del gruppo con rimandi prepotenti ai Deeds Of Flesh ma strizzando l'occhio ad un Technical Death Metal più vicino ai moderni Arkaik e The Zenith Passage.
Breed of the Rejected si presenta come la traccia più riflessiva e che lascia trasparire più il sintomo di un cambio di songwriting. se pur la batteria abbia due modalità (blast e tappetto di doppia cassa) la traccia riesce ad essere estremamente dinamica anche in virtù di una sorta di breakdown e un assolo melodico molto ispirato.
Lavoro come dicevo sopra la media, inaspettatamente moderno e fresco. Aggettivi che nel Brutal fatichi a dire.
