Certo, l'immagine del gruppo è costantemente in parallela con quella degli Americani ma la fantasia e l'ispirazione del cd, la tecnica e qualche vago richiamo più "technical death" danno a questo cd l'imput per diventare uno dei migliori cd che possiate mai ascoltare nel Death Old School in questo 2015. Perchè? Perchè di cloni del mondo svedese è pieno che non riesci a distinguere il clone dall'originale ma di Immolation c'è solo un gruppo e di Heaving Earth pure. Essere devoti ad un sound e poterlo plasmare nella propria maniera non è essenzialmente ne un pregio ne un difetto, la band cieca è arrivata con almeno 6-7 cd già pronti dai quale trarre ispirazione ma è vero che c'è quell'impronta più moderna del Technical odierno che ogni tanto fa cambiare gusto alla portata.
Da sottolineare su tutte c'è Jesus Died. Un vero e proprio masterpiece che non stonerebbe in nessuna delle uscite di Dolan e soci, un diamante nella discografia dello stesso gruppo che riesce a creare un brano si da un minutaggio elevato ma capace di raccogliere su di se Groove, tecnica e melodia. Il lavoro fatto su questo cd è amabile anche nella produzione, i suoni della batteria sono secchi e definiti ma assolutamente veri, triggerati si ma niente Drum Machine. Le stesse chitarre lasciano una scia di malvagità che non è risucchiata da suoni mediosi o troppo pompati nei bassi,
Per dirla tutta non esistono ne filler ne difetti in un album come questo, l'unico problema è che esistono gli Immolation, ma alla fine gli Immolation di oggi sono abbastanza lontani da quelli di CTAWB e Harnessing Ruin quindi godiamoci questo cd e vaffanculo il resto!

I had the pleasure to see them Heaving Earth live as support band to Immolation and Marduk in Rome and that night I had the feeling that there was something strange. Now that I listened to this new "Denouncing the Holy Throne" I can say that night I listened to a duplicate of "Close to a World below"
Their look is similar to an American band, but the fantasy and the inspiration of the album, the instrumental technic and a slight recall to technical death metal give this CD the input to become one of the best Old School Death album in 2015. Why? Because world is filled of Swedish death metal imitators, and they're so good that you could not tell the difference between the original one and the clone. But majestic bands like Immolation cannot be imitated, and Heaving Earth too. To follow a precise kind of sound and have the possibility to develop it as you wish is not a good thing but neither bad and the czech band already had 6 or 7 CDs from which they could get inspiration, but that modern technical touch... has a strong impact.
A special track is 'Jesus Died': a true masterpiece; it shines like a diamond in their discography because it's a track that mixes groove, technic and melody, even if it is long. We must also appreciate the production: the drum has dry and defined sounds but they're pure, triggered but not like a Drum Machine; guitars release a path of evil that isn't corrupted my melodies or exaggerated basses. This release has no fillers and weak points; the only problem is that Immolation still exits, but they're so distant from the ones of CTAWB and Harnessing Ruis, so let's enjoy this masterpiece and fuck off everything else!
